Amway, 47, who won the RRR twenty years ago, added that some editions of the race have been more humid, but today's conditions caused times to be a bit slower than in other years.

It was pretty darn muggy! I was a few seconds slower than last year, but I'll chalk that up to lack of training rather than the weather.

This was my first time running the Red Rose Run and it was a memorable experience. Two of my daughters ran with me . The support along the way was fantastic! There were a few times I was tempted to give up but kept going because I knew my daughters were waiting for me at the finish line.

I am happy that I just finished about 5 minutes later than my 17 year old daughter! At age 54, I consider that an accomplishment!

I am in awe of some of the times of the other women in my age group( 50-59). I came in 40th out of 42 in this age group and many of the women were older than me.

Kudos to Dr. Karl Moyer for his impressive time at age 70! I hope I can still run the RRR at age 70 plus!

I hope to see all you runners next year! Happy running!

Thank you to all the people who helped make the RRR happen. It was well-organized.
