Isn't this speculation somewhat premature? From what I gather this project is unlikely to ever actually happen. Additionally, the Kerr site was supposed to be committed to up-scale shops and condominiums(try walking around that area after dark and see how up-scale it seems). The Burle site has been so underutilized and has some serious toxic waste issues to the point it is an unlikely candidate for anything other than future demolition.

Okay - here's more "speculation":

What about the property on Rt 72 at Dillerville that was proposed for a strip mall?? I that area big enough?

(disclaimer - I'm not promoting a slots parlor, just speculating possible second location)

IU 13 is moving their offices to Burle Business Park. I have no idea if the IU will occupy the entire complex. Dayspring Christian Academy occupy's part of that complex as well.

IU13 will occupy only a fraction of the entire complex, They will be taking about 50% of 1 building only.

Hardly, Burle is slowly converting their empty space into tenant spaces. The contaminated area is at the lower edge of the property and is fenced off.

Why not put it in the Watt & Shand building?
That is coming. Once the current hotel/cc project proves to be way too expensive, local political leaders - including Rick Gray and Mike Sturla, along with City Council - will be scrambling for a way to salvage the pet project of Lancaster's elite. Just wait...

This slot machine "parlor" idea is one of the most greedy, stupid, and short-sighted schemes one can imagine.
Agreed. However, the slots casino downtown is absolutely positively necessary to salvage an even more "greedy, stupid, and short-sighted scheme": the proposed taxpayer-funded special-interest hotel and convention center project, which cannot possibly begin to pay its debt and operating costs alone.
