As a local tax payer with an opinion I wish these guys the best of luck.

If we support the "regulated" growth of this business in Lancaster City now. We can take advantage of that business for many years to come.

It stills bugs me when someone else tells me what is moral, as if my opinion has no value. I don't need their assistance. Judge a project on its merits not on someone's interpretation of what is moral for a community. My family values will not change if a gambling facility locates in Lancaster. Private money is invested so they know that the demand for this service is here in the county. More power to them.

Typically, Siderio said, the city requires people seeking standing in zoning cases to own or have an interest in property within 400 feet of the property that’s being brought before the board.

With the slots parlor, Siderio said, the board is considering expanding that distance, although a final decision has not yet been made.
“That isn’t Lancaster County,” Shellenberger said Dec. 14. “I would not want to see a casino come to Lancaster.”

The distance should be extended at least to include Calvary Church out on Pitney Road--from where the commissioner takes all of his instructions...

The same goes for every other proposed "economic development" plan in Lancaster City and County.

Frank - you've got your churches all mixed up. Calvary Fellowship Church is located on Landis Valley Road.

Do you attend church anywhere Frank??
