Since Mayor Gray and the city council wants this so bad have them take a position to be the ones responsible for the outcome either way. If it makes money it goes to the city, but if it goes in the red, the city takes the bath not the citizens of Lancaster County. The meeting at the Farm and Home center was very good, some people only heard what they wanted, not the facts as presented.
Agreed EXCEPT "the city takes the bath" means MY taxes!!!!!!! That is exactly why I oppose the project.

I also believe the city either does or soon will own the building thanks to Charlie's Easter Black Mass. This accomplished two things. It took responsibility out of PSP hands for the building,(at a tidy profit), and blackmails the city into supporting the current plan. PSP now doesn't even have to build something and they win. Outta be criminal.

The documents finalizing the sale of the Watt & Shand property from the Penn Square Partners to the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Lancaster have been completed and approved by both parties, but never filed; instead, they are being "held in escrow", whatever that means. Since the Penn Square Partners still hold legal title to the building, and demolition permits were already approved by Charlie Smithgall & Co., the PSP can proceed with tearing down the Watt & Shand building whenever they want to.
