The one I go to is over near the King of Prussia Mall. Its about 5 minutes west of the mall. Take a look at www.traderjoes.com

We usually stop at the Wegmans in Downingtown on the way back home.

I think someone in the trust needs to pay a visit to the Market in Ardmore (which by the way is right next door to a Trader Joes). Its a great little market. It has one fruit/veggie stand, 1 meat stand, 1 seafood stand, 1 cheese place, 1 desert place, a place that sells wine, a sushi place, a great Pizza/take-out place, a bakery, and a few others. Its smaller than the Central Market, but has everything one could ask for in a Market. Its clean, and layed out very nicely.

I live in the NW part of the county so I go to the Trader Joe's in Towson, outside of Baltimore. It takes me 1 hour (+/- a few minutes) to get there — much closer than Philly suburbs from here.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have one here but I don't know if we have the population that TJ's normally goes into. Also, unless "Winston" has inside info that TJ's plans no more stores in states with no beer/wine, I wouldn't put much stock in that. They have a decent number of stores in PA and MD (some of which were built in the last few years) and neither state has beer/wine in grocery stores.

whatever happened to the plans for giant to expand/improve their stonemill location? when the rumors of wegeman's coming to town started i think the giant said they were going to improve that store, take over more of the shopping center... haven't heard anything more since the wegeman's rumors died down though.

I would love to have a TJ's here too. I heard, from someone on this board if I remember correctly, that part of TJ's business plan is to keep all of their stores within a certain distance of their main supply routes/warehouses. In the Philly area, that would be Rt. 95. I don't think a Lancaster store would fit into that business plan.

Actually you heard that from me! (I posted it on a similar thread a few months ago). Anyhow, that is what one of their managers told me about 4 years ago in one of the Maryland stores. That being said, York would be a more logical place then Lancaster because the trip from Towson up I-83 to York isn't long at all. Also there are more people moving into Southern York county from the Balto/DC area (or living in York & commuting to Bal'mer).

Anything closer would make me happy! I need more cans of Cuban Black Beans (which I mix with some Kashi 7-grain pilaf and a little mild cheese...DEElicious!)

That would make sense. You would think they could hit York/Harrisburg without too much trouble. Then maybe if those do well, they'll justify Lancaster.
