Solancoforever, I am not the one that sent you a PM, obviously, you know that. I do not send PMs. I will post my feelings on here. I do think before you begin attacking others though, that you ought to get your information correct. It still bothers me that you stated Christiana does not have an ambulance! They are one of the finest ambulance organizations in Lancaster County, and as I stated previously, when I was there for Bruce Becker's signings of his print, I got to see their station, their EMTS and their ambulances.
I'm not "attacking" you, as you say someone did in a PM, but rather again just saying, at least try to get your facts correct before posting, or if you don't know, just say you don't know, or don't say anything. But to say Christiana doesn't have an ambulance service, obviously YOU didn't do too much researching, so don't go blaming others for having things incorrect. No one is perfect.
Edited to add: You mentioned you live one mile from the incident. And you didn't know Christiana has 2 ambulances?

First as I apologized for before I made an honest mistake you are right I said it wrong and I once again acknowledge I was wrong. I simply forgot because it is not necessarily typical for any Christiana Ambulance to be here and I forgot they had service. I could make other comments here but won't. I will simply acknowledge I made a mistake. This is the second post where I have acknowledged I made a mistake.

The dividing lines for Ambulance service here are bizarre. We are serviced by Quarryville (same distance to Christiana as Quarryville, but we are also a Qville mailing address) and Willow Street (now that I don't understand at all). Strasburg also comes in.

If they don't service my immediate area why would I know they have 2 ambulances? Never mind.

Perhaps one of the reasons Christiana does not service your area, Solancoforever, is that Bart is in Lancaster County as are Quarryville and Willow Street. Christiana is in Chester County. I thought Bart had an ambulance system, also, until a member told me otherwise and explained the independant system to me. The web page describes the system as was mentioned by Solancoforever.

You're vastly outnumbered on this one, Wonderwoman, and that should tell you something.

Certainly. It tells me that folks who were there and know a situation, are not thought of as experts of information on a certain topic. Instead, you would trust the second-handed information of a reporter who was not with the situation or individuals involved. An expert is described as , "someone who comes from far away who is perceived as knowing the subject matter". Do you not know that the majority opinion is not always the correct opinion? You, yourself, feel the minority opinion is correct on some topics but not on others. Well, this is one minority opinion on which I know I am correct.

What exactly is being outnumbered supposed to tell me, "419Prince"?

Thanks Wonderwoman exactly. However before you're jumped all over and blood is let Christiana Boro is actually in Lancaster County but the surrounding boroughs such as Atglen are not. The ambulance company is not with the Fire Company and actually sits almost on the line between Chester and Lancaster Counties.

So Wonder I think the fact is no matter what some of the people here think you and I WERE actually there. Our perspective will be different, our feelings will be different and our emotions will be different. We saw some of the media in action so the fact is we know what really happened.

My favorite was the Philadelphia Inquirer reporter who begged to go down to the school as it was being torn down. She wept, she had the nashing of teeth, she pleaded that she felt a personal connection to the slain children, but still the fire police said no. She finally walked away sobbing going up Mine Road. A few minutes later (it was still dark) a car came around the corner with its lights on and she was gone. I was with the fire police and told them. Sure enough they ran around to the corn field and there she was creeping through. Let's just say there were no tears or sobbing words of saddness when she got caught. Her hardness and completely different tone was not unexpected.

Sorry about the Christiana information, Solancoforever...the husband also said I was wrong. I suppose the fact that there is a bit of a mess with the surrounding school districts added to my confusion. I did know that Atglen was in Chester County.

Wonderwoman:

You are right the school districts do make it very confusing. With Christiana in Octorara it makes their school taxes much higher than other Solanco residents. It's a natural mistake though--lots of people think it is in Chester County.
