This is a big problem. I know lots of kids with asthma and elderly folks with respiratory illness aggrivated by the poor quality of air here. It is the major thing that would convince me to retire elsewhere.

Here's some basic information from the Lung Association.

We can help ourselves to a certain extent, but we need Pitts and Specter fighting for smokestack scrubbers on power plants!

I wish LNP reporters would learn to read. There are two long-term particle ranking lists, and we rand 12th and 14th respectively. There is a series of rather obvious typos where rank #'s are repeated. Duh.

Still, it rings kinda weird on the ears to say "Well we're moving to Camden to take advantage of the cleaner air"
