As soon as I started reading the article...I had a feeling this whole thing was going to be about money. Another case of organized religion looking to make money under the guise of "salvation". What a bunch of crap...did you check out the website? Nothing more than a bunch of snake dancers looking to have people throw away their crutches and testify.....I'M HEALED....LORDY LORDY!! Check out the testimonial part of the site. I guess these people are like the "holistic" doctors that exploit the amish by looking at their tongues and deciding what illness they have...all the while charging them tons of money for so called "cures". My guess is that these nut jobs are looking to not only "harvest" the amish....but harvest their money too. The amish bishop sounds like he knows a snake oil salesman when he sees one. Good for him, at least someone has some street smarts!

Well said, Horns. And I'm amused to see that the "harvest" comment caught your attention, too. I thought it was a little creepy...<where's the shudder emoticon when you need one?>

anyone know if the bishops excommunicated any amish for voting for our warmonger preznit??

or maybe the amish are taking their marching orders from "right wing" christians and endorsing war based on false witness as a first resort.

too bad bush jr corrupted some amish as well.

There was an interesting letter to the editor published in the paper today from an Amish guy addressing this issue. He essentially admonished his fellow Amish for being duped into supporting the Bush administration.
Later...Shawn
