Could someone answer some of these questions:

Does anyone know how much it costs or will cost with the additional security lights and cameras? How much for the mounted cycle patrol? And who is paying for this cost of the electric the lights and cameras? Is there any report on how any of this is working has the crime gone down? What happens in the other 3/4 of the city?
I cannot recall any of these being discussed at any public meeting.

To find out, you would probably have to file a "Right-To-Know" request IN WRITING to both Lancaster City (Janet Spleen) and the DID.

$180 MILLION ?

Is this a typo, or a stealth announcement of yet another increase in cost?

Oh yeah, it's a typo.

How about some articles on the locally owned Minority and Women-Owned Disadvantaged Business Enterprises that the newspaper is using to build their taxpayer financed hotel. I might feel better about the project knowing that 20 percent of the $180 million is benefitting the operations of disadvantaged local companies.

LT here is a cost for one camera, I priced recently from a local security agency...about $3000.00 now that does not take care of maintenance or ongoing costs. It could be higher w/options. All are digital and can get complex.
