I can't believe that anyone would believe his defense for a second.

Unless, of course, they lived under a rock.
I'm with Melody..."scum, scum, scum."

Don't take this as defending the guy, but it seems that every year when we take our dog to the vet, it is rare that we walk out with a bill that is under 100 bucks. If he had several dogs, that could add up.........

Then he shouldn't own them if he can't afford them. I knew how much it was going to cost to have the two dogs we have now and I am willing to pay the yearly vet bills (300/year for both) the grooming fees (30/cut) the food (20/month) the treats (varies) and the other incidentals and whatever medical cost we may infer. If you aren't willing/able to foot these bills, don't get a dog. Simple as that.
And where's Whirlwind on this one? You don't buy a $50 dog in a parking lot to breed. This guy has no respect for the dogs and should go to jail just for being a dumb*ss. If you can't afford to take care of the puppies properly and have no idea what you are doing, you have no business breeding them. And who in their right mind keeps 30 chicks next to his bed?

He's busy posting on the other thread. You don't for a second consider this guy a conformation breeder, do you? Conformation means breeding to the breed standard, a set of characteristics that have been agreed make up the prime specimen of the breed.

What did the jury want, video? Sounds like the police etc. proved intent.

Actually no, I don't consider him a conformation breeder. I consider him, well, it's not proper to type what I consider him. Believe it or not, I agree with you on this one.

ALL dog fighters and fighting dog breeders call themselves "show dog breeders" or "pulling dog breeders" when they get exposed.
Heck, some even claim they run pit bull rescues.
It's a front for illegal activity. They hope they can trick the ignorant and gullible into letting them go on running these lucrative fighting businesses
(and by the way, what about the TAXES that haven't been paid on the income?)
