Wouldn't it be really wonderful if the courts were more in tune with the countless false PFAs that have been awarded. And I'm not just limiting that to men who are served with false PFAs; women have been the recipients of the same false PFA abuse scenarios in your basic heterosexual family units.
If only judges and lawyers weren't so keen on pushing these through in rapid succession but rather giving the accused a full opportunity to present evidence in their own defense. Children would not be kept from their parents, household valuables would not be sold on ebay while the 'offender' is barred from entering the home for six months, and income tax return checks would not be forged by the person who has access to the family mailbox. Grandparents wouldn't have to fight for the right to see their grandchildren; offenders would not be free to move their new lovers into the family household and rack up DUIs with no rebuke from the courts. I sincerely wish that folks like Katie True would stop and smell THESE roses before she goes on another crusade. As a judge who is a friend once told me, only innocent victims of false PFAs honor the stipulations... True offenders, male and female, only get angrier and more abusive because they usually are of the mind that it's their way or the highway...
All parties from this case have, I hope, moved on. It's been a freaking 10 years. I just wish the newspaper would devote some ink to the innocent man who was beaten and left for dead at the county prison. I'd like to hear how he's doing and how his case is progressing through the courts.

Well said, Harv1.

Thanks. I think about that poor guy who was beaten in the county prison often and wonder how he's doing. And also a woman who used to post here whose husband (or ex-husband, I can't clearly remember) committed suicide at the county prison had mentioned on the forum here that the case was in the courts. She hasn't posted for some time and the newspaper hasn't had any well-publicized or online follow up stories on these cases. Also I wonder if conditions for the guards there are any better considering how they were thwarted from doing anything about being injured by that young man who killed all his family members. I wonder if the commissioners have stepped in to do something about the conditions there.
