hopefully Rep. Boyd or Rep. True step up to the plate and run against Sen. Armstrong and send him into retirement. Rep. Boyd seems like our closest hope to a real conservative around here.

How about someone fresh off the street? Boyd, True and the rest of them are already tainted by the state employee "entitlement disease" .... especially the lavish retirements which are calulated on a sweet formula based on years served and percentage of total salary at the time of retirement.

The well established and current statewide system that treats elected public servants in a "special" well respected manner and allows for their easy reelection based on name recognition WITHOUT any job perfomance accountability .... is just crazy.

State government is corrupt, bloated and out of control. The average voter is not aware that they are the only solution to solving these problems. We need lots of new blood showing up to work for us in Harrisburg, not more of the same.

Ha ... fat chance. Voters are still in the "name recognition" mode, and I'm not famous! (yet)

Maybe someday voters will expect at least a little accountability and value from their elected officials ... until then, there will just be more of the same. This is a quality of voter problem more than a quality of candidate issue.
