My comment wasn't directed at you, BR, but to the general tone of this thead. The condemnation of the DA and prosecutor because of statements printed in the paper is laughable, especially when the condemnation is coming from the same crowd that think LPN slants the news and can't get anything right.

Afterall, it was a member of the DA's staff who got the detailed information that allowed Dubbs to be freed.

Thank you for clarifying.

according to the Intel article the staff member was Det. Geesey, from what i understand he is one of the best detectives Lanc. county has produced

Here's something else we are not talking about:

While Dubbs was cooling his heels the rapist was out creating more victims! Had the cops, the prosecutors got the RIGHT guy, other woman would have been raped!

This is example where the cops, the prosecutors (Totaro would be involved in ANY decision involving a felony) couldn't get past their OWN idea of who did it DESPITE the evidence.

Heidi says she is "tortured" with the thought of putting the wrong guy in jail. Good. Oh that all prosecutors could have sleepless nights until they resolve the cases where evidence points to the other direction. How many others won't get a "get-right-with-Jesus" confession and remain in jail. Don't kid yourself if you think that there are not many more Dubbs in the +100,000 people in jail across Pennsylvania!

What about NOW? Does Totaro have REASONABLE doubt? Trust me when I say that he wouldn't have PERSONALLY gone to Judge Ashworth to free Dubbs if he didn't!

Constitutionally, our system says that REASONABLE doubt mean NOT GUILTY. Even after admitting that he has ZERO case against Dubbs - what is Totaro saying?!?!?!?
QUOTE
Totaro and Eakin emphasized Tuesday that Dubbs' release from prison does not necessarily mean he is innocent of the attacks.

"We don't have DNA or other physical evidence that would determine someone was actually innocent," Totaro said. "What we have is the confession of Mr. Brown and doubt in the minds of the victims."

hu·bris /ˈhyubrɪs, ˈhu-/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[hyoo-bris, hoo-] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation –noun excessive pride or self-confidence; arrogance.

NOT INNOCENT?!? Let me explain why the man who raised his right hand and swore to uphold the constitution should SHUT HIS MOUTH! Totaro has zero, nada. Totaro knows full well that there is so much reasonable doubt that a truck could drive through it! Reasonable doubt is called NOT GUILTY. NOT GUILTY.

If this article quotes these two accurately than it's even more sickening. This continued slandering of a man who Totaro and Eakin have PERSECUTED. (please note the intentional spelling of that last word!) show the little regard the two have for the constitution.

Shhhhhhh......don't spread that around. It will upset the TBers who have "issues" with law enforcement.

Joe isn't the problem - he is under the direction of Mike Landis. Why wasn't Joe involved LAST YEAR?!? The foot dragging and the inability to reexamine the evidence with an unbaised FRESH LOOK is the problem. WHY did it take so very long?!?

There are many more Ted Dubbs in jail that are innocent. Please understand that the only reason this is out is because his lawyer filed a motion to make it happen. The only reason the DA's office are looking because they didn't want to look STUPID when their witnesses are left stammering when the facts don't line up.

The Chinese call it SAVING FACE.

Say you're wrong. Fix your mistakes. That's all I ask.
