Brown's confession prompted Dubbs to ask for a new trial in February. It also moved the district attorney's office to interview Brown.

Before questioning Brown, the investigative team talked to prosecutors in other counties who had dealt with him, the victims and witnesses who testified during Dubbs' 2002 trial.

"You need to have your case locked down before you talk to Mr. Brown," Moyer said.

Geesey added, "That way, he can't dance around you."

What part of that is too tough to comprehend? Brown was giving contradictory and inaccurate information.

Let me get this straight. Last November Brown says he raped the two woman that Dubbs is in jail- accused of raping - these guys wait nearly 9 months to talk to do this interview?

The DA's office did nothing when the guy confessed and threw doubt on their prosecution of Dubbs. Have they no morals that would make them check it out on their own? The only reason they were interviewing was because they were going to have to answer why Dubbs shouldn't have a new trial! They were motivated - not by their concern to do WHAT IS RIGHT - but by not getting SPANKED by a judge who would hear the contrary evidence.

Please notice the District Attorney's office claim that they could have Dubb "behind bars" - even after a new trail! Dubbs is not behind bars because INVESTIGATORS talked with Brown.

Wow. That is something. The only reason the DA's office checked out the story is because they were going to have prove they were right. They check it out and see there is reasonable doubt ie... NOT GUILTY and they act like the defense attorney couldn't have talked with Brown before the trial!

Or are they saying they could have twisted things AGAIN to keep Dubbs in jail?

They interviewed Brown - not because they were motivated by JUSTICE but they didn't want to LOSE in front of a jury. Sickening.

Which is exactly why I've been saying Totaro is incompetent.

The part where he's now provided accurate information (even Totaro stated so) that only the attacker and his victims would know but people still think there's reasonable doubt and that Dubbs could be guilty. I'm not criticizing the process, Alyssarah1 -- I'm critical of the people who think they still don't have enough to clear Dubbs even after the accurate, confidential information was provided by Brown.

This is known as circular logic. You can't believe he did it because he said he didn't do it?

So you check it out. That's a good call. I have no problem with that but...
Let me get this straight. Last November Brown says he raped the two woman that Dubbs is in jail- accused of raping - these guys wait nearly 9 months to talk to do this interview?
Hmmm.... had they interviewed the guy in December, maybe Dubbs could have spent Christmas with his family.
In America - we call that reasonable doubt ie... NO GUILTY.
And here lies my beef. Sure they are human and can make mistakes. The DA's office did nothing when the guy confessed and threw doubt on their prosecution of Dubbs. Have they no morals that would make them check it out on their own? The only reason they were interviewing was because they were going to have to answer why Dubbs shouldn't have a new trial! Ron,

Your constant monday morning quarterbacking of the police and especially of these seasoned investigators makes you look very adjenda driven.

Perhaps you were the plump clumbsy young man that wanted to be a cop but couldnt make the grade or worse. These people do their jobs to the best of their abilities, most of the time they do very good things for the community but in this very confusing and difficult case things didnt go as everyone would have wanted. As you run around like a bull in a china shop you playing by whatever rules you want these investigators have to deal with the lying scum of the earth and try to desifer the truth. Why arent you flappin about the bumb that really committed these rapes and never came clean until he desided to get right w/ the Lord? he is the real villan here. These men and women forgot more than you will ever know about how to investigate

For sure. My agenda is that TRUE justice is served. That the WELL-PAID prosecutors do their jobs RIGHT. And that when they make a mistake - they OWN UP to them.

Personal attacks make you look childish. I was a jock and lettered in four different sport. I am more than capable intellectually.

Yes - many of them do. (I could make a list of those that are lazy, incompitient and unstable if you'd like!) Again - you fail to acknowledge that this very human organization has lots to do.

They need to keep this human fraility in mind and not dig their heels in - especially when someone is in jail - convicted already! They need to forthrightly and expeditiously prove or disprove the new information - keeping an open mind FROM THE START!

If you don't agree with the above paragraph - you are just as bad as they are!

Yes he is. BUT people who have the authority to take someone's life and have raised their right hand to uphold the constitution have an even GREATER responsibility to MAKE CERTAIN that they are exercising their responsibility with the GREATEST caution. Ever mindful that they better make CERTAIN they are RIGHT as they proceed with prosecution.

Laughable. The investigator reporter such as myself, has no power to threaten or bully lie the cops and their cuzs in the detective department regularly do. I get my information through winning confidence to those closest to a situation. Much harder. Additionally, I know a little about research that most/many don't.

Here is the REAL point. If you told me that I was wrong about something that I asserted on my website, I wouldn't rest until I prove you were wrong or that I was wrong. I wouldn't just dismiss it because I researched before. I would check it out because I want to GET IT RIGHT. How much more should the people that are throwing people behind bars or worse - killing them - want to get it right?

WE NEED TO REFORM THE JUSTICE SYSTEM! There are more Ted Dubbs in jail that are innocent! That's a crime - at least to God it is!
