I believe this thread was started by you. Sorry, I'm not taking the bait. The election is over. Santorum lost. Get over it.

Totally agree!
Glad someone else saw the Clear Baiting of the original post.

No, this wasn't baiting. You accuse me of not having honest motives; that hurts.

This was truly an effort to stop the Santorum hate rhetoric before it got started. If you read the thread from the last article about the fund raiser, I couldn't believe the amount of hate that was there almost from the very first post. People actually posted wishes that his rights be taken from him because they didn't like what he said. Instead, tell me what he said or tell me what he did. I will reserach it to see the full context and see if it is true. Then I will weigh all the fact and decide if this man deserves my suport, not if this man deserves yours.

I really like to banter with words. I love a good line of rhetoric. But that is not possible when people start attacking with hate and ad hominem fallacies that have nothing to do with the issues.

Mr. Santorum is controversial; very controversial. He is also stubborn and steadfast. But much of what he is purported to have said upon closer research is untrue or twisted out of it's original meaning. The earlier post by Daisy is a great example. But the left has distorted and misreported them because he dares to touch politically incorrect issues and speak out against them.

Reagan Republican and skytrainII are two of the conservatives I respect the most, because their posts consistently are reasonable and well thought out.

But there are issues here I feel compelled to point out.

There are those of us who do not agree with Mr. Santorum's philosophies, nor with his performance as a U.S. Senator. That doesn't mean we HATE the man. Any "attacks" are meant to be against his policies and performance, NOT Mr. Santorum as an individual.

Who are you speaking for? I read a very different atmoshere here on LOL than the one you describe.(BTW, not a santorum fan)

I don't hate the guy at all. I think he's a fraud, thats all.
blah blah
playing the hate card is for those who have no answers or cannot defend what they are supposed to believe.

anyone against the war back when jr was whipping up war fever, hated america.

anyone who criticizes bush and all he has done wrong , is reduced to being a "bush hater".

don't agree with santorum?? then you hate him.

the hate is within the subjective consciousness of the accuser. they feel hatred when challenged and so assume the person in questions is filled with the same hatred they feel.

they cannot accept their own dictum...hate the sin but love the sinner.
