Although I agree with Ron Paul's summary "...getting the federal government completely out of the business of regulating state matters." So hooray for the march on a political note.

HOWEVER....in regards to the pro-life stance:
"The professor explained....'everything that is needed for life is present at the moment of conception'." Great. How about what is NOT present for "life" when that life is born? Like responsible parents; or what IS present...a psycho pro-life drug addict mother/father who is on some mood-altering brain chemical? How about no home to come "home" to or if you do have a rich fancy house you are just beaten or worse, ignored. Brain/emotionally/socially damaged by "life". In a nutshell, born to parents that didn't want a child and WILL NOT live up to their responsibility; alternative? to be placed (immediately or eventually) with other unwanted children? Oooo or better yet molested by a "caring" adult from the church (okay that was probably not called for...) But, people, it's a cruel selfish world always has been. You live in an artificial environment where everything is so lovely, and why are THOSE women having an abortion, oh my...If someone chooses to avoid bringing a "defenseless human being" into such world and someone says NO, they must be born!!! To what? Oh right, to live a horrible 3 years (or less) and then die strapped in a car seat in the heat (or cold). ... it's not like there is only one child at a time awaiting adoption because anti-abortionists are knocking down the doors trying to adopt. If you haven't actually adopted that embryo you saved than you really are NOT pro-life. If anything, people should be sterilized until they are ready for children (isn't that how we "....care about animals..."?) Until there is a license issued to HAVE children, I will remain pro-choice. BTW do we know the count of deaths BEFORE abortion was legal? I guess that was okay because back then some of the mothers actually DIED from the abortion so pro-lifers probably believe that's justice - regardless if that same mother left behind 3 children that she raised well because she couldn't go to a sterile and safe environment. It seems to me that pro-lifers aren't about "life" at all.

Very well said.

I couldn't agree with you more. You have to have a license to hunt, a license to drive, a license to catch a fish, but any pathetic soul who can find someone to copulate with can have a child.

How many children have you "Pro-life" ers adopted? Come on, this is your chance, how many? 5? 10? 20? WHAT? You haven't adopted ANY? Yet you are "marching on washington"??? Put your money where your mouth is, if it is so important that these children be brought into this world, then show us that you really care by providing for them AFTER they are born. Of course taht doesn't matter to these marchers, the only thing that matters to them is publicity, false piety and having people THINK they are "religous" or "Godly" in some way.

PRO-LIFE should mean ALL LIFE, not just life that hasn't been born yet and therefore doens't exist. Worry about those who are living if you are pro-life instead of those who aren't even here yet.

president bush jr, the most "pro life" president ever will not attend the rally as he will be busy working out at the white house gym acrooss the street. an aide will phone in a pre-recorded speech and as a special treat for all pro lifers there will be a second rally supporting the war in iraq which has taken the lives of up to 600,000 innocents including women and babies.

president bush ordered all mirrors and shiney reflective surfaces covered up along the parade route so that the "pro lifers" would not have to look at themselves.

It's funny I didn't see any protesters this morning coming through Washington Union Station - but then again I didn't know this protest was happening today as it usually sneaks up on me every year. Which is a darn shame because I like wearing my PRO-CHOICE button proudly around these protesters. And the nice wintery mix we're supposed to get today should really be fun for these guys.
It's my body, therefore - IT'S MY CHOICE.
