I cannot say enough about the work SSD does. Anyone who has a chance to support this effort I assure you it is well worth it. We were involved with SSD. We raised a puppy from 8 weeks until fully trained. Dina is now graduated and been in place for almost three years now. Seeing them graduate and be placed is a wonderful experience. Knowing they are helping people to live a life that would not be possible with out them is powerful. My wife and us "whelped" a litter. Having all those puppies in the house for the first 8 or so weeks of life was, interesting. We have visitors EVERY day in order to get them use to people in all different conditions. I eat dinner over the sink every night since the kitchen was always full. The day two bus loads of kids from Hershey came to the house was something to behold.

The volunteers are the driving force of this organization. If you see a dog-in-training at the mall, church, restaurants please be sure to encourage them. The time commitment, training, cost that is given is much. All for the greater good of someone completely unknown. The day "your" dog leaves home for the last time can be both heartbreaking and rewarding all at the same time.

To those currently involved. Keep up the great work and God bless!
