In the end, the truth is, the homosexual lobby wants same sex marriage for one reason -- to use the power of the state to force heterosexuals to approve of homosexual activity and relationships. Your civil rights to object to homosexuality will be gone. Every public school in the state would be forced to teach that same-sex “marriage” and homosexuality are perfectly normal –- Heather has Two Mommies in K-12. Pictures in text books will be changed to show same-sex couples as normal. This has happened in Massachusetts

Churches could be legally pressured to perform same-sex weddings. When courts — as happened in Massachusetts — find same-sex “marriage” to be a constitutional and fundamental human right, the ACLU will successfully argue that the government is underwriting discrimination by offering tax exemptions to churches and synagogues that only honor natural marriage.

As with every major political movement, the homosexual lobby is pushing a specific agenda. It is often called the “gay agenda.” At its core is a concerted effort to remove from society all traditional notions of sexual morality and replace them with the post-modern concept of sexual relativism. That is to say, when it comes to sex, there is never right or wrong. All sexual appetites are “equal.” If it feels good, do it.

Ultimately, the homosexual lobby’s primary objective is to radically redefine our foundational institutions of legitimate marriage and the nuclear family by unraveling God’s natural design for human sexuality. In so doing, they hope to elevate their own spiritual and biological counterfeit and establish a sexually androgynous society wherein natural distinctions between male and female are dissolved.

This creates cultural and moral anarchy. This is why the definition of marriage as being one man and one woman must be protected by an amendment to the Pa. Constitution. Twenty seven states in this country have recognized the importance of marriage and have amended their constitutions.

It is about time this country sit back and think about what equal rights really means. I am sure similiar thoughts ran through peoples heads before blacks were allowed to vote or marry whites. It is the 21rst Century people! Gay couples are having committment ceremonies in Churches every day, all over the country, regardless of laws.

The last blogger seams to think that the "homo lobby" and "gay agenda" are out to destoy the world. In reality, gays are born gay. I do not believe that any of them wish to make the rest of the world gay, destroy the tradition of marriage, or dissolve distinctions between man and woman. Society is doing that on its own.

Woman are now making up more than 50% of many college campuses and working their ways into the highest positions in corporate America, as well as holding the highest of political offices. Stay at home Dads are more common than ever, and the roles within the nuclear family are shifting.

And the "sanctity" of marriage has been pretty well destroyed by heterosexuals before gays even had a chance. The divorce rate hovers at around 50%. Britney Spears or anyone for that matter can get married and un-married overnight in Las Vegas.

Bottom Line: Homosexuality has existed for as long as written history. In my opinion, gay life is not something any sane person would choose, especially in conservative Lancaster County. There is no choice, it is who they are. It is my hope that people will open their minds and hearts and more gays can come out from the shadows and live a normal life. Thousands of couples are living with their partners all over the country just waiting for the day they can enjoy the legal benefits of a civil union.

Senator Brubaker is a bigot and should be ashamed of trying to pass such legislation.

I knew it was only a matter of time before the bawling and brawling began.
If homosexuality has been with us from the beginning, why is just recently seen here as an acceptible lifestyle? Why is there a centuries-old taboo on such unions, hate? Stereotype? Where do they originate? Collective memories.
