I mean i'm not really up on all this stuff, but it seems to me GOPs posts really don't make much sense. First you guys complain left and right about the pensions and perks they get. Well then you have a guy that says he won't take them and then its not good either? Man you Republicans are morons. Nothings ever good enough. Whether or not this is grand-standing is really moot, you have a guy here willing to give up a pretty decent amount of money. Say what you wil but thats a pretty honorable thing to me.

My presences on these boards for the past 7 years is NOT dependent on some candidate running for office like yours. Everyone who is on the board knows who I am and that I remain consistent in my positions and comments. I defend the constitution and support and advocate for good government positions. Which of these do you disagree with me on?

You - on the extreme, deformed other hand, are merely shilling for your guy and will be gone after April 22. Who knows how many other screen names you have? Who knows what your connections? And that's the point - until you say otherwise, I am going to call you Lloyd Smucker - because it sure looks that way to me!

My political career allowed me to loudly do whatever I wanted in Lancaster County politics. For instance, I have been fighting the convention center since BEFORE they created the convention center authority. My well known support begining in 1999 as the campaign manager for the Constitution Party county commissioner candidate as well as my deep involvement in Jim Clymer - again the Constitution party candidate in 2003 and for Heidi Wheaton in 2007 demonstrates my committment to conservative causes. Maybe you heard of John Barley? Your welcome.

I have never hidden my friendship with Steve McDonald and I am not on the ballot! I know that Steve has put Two-hundred and Seventy Five years of documents on the internet for free. Steve McDonald doesn't TALK about open goverment - Steve McDonald lives it as evidence by the Recorder of Deeds office record!

Lloyd Smucker - how about if you get the township to put up all the meeting minutes during your three years in office? That's like a couple hundred pages - why can't you do that Lloyd? Answer? Lloyd talks a good game but doesn't live up to it. Lloyd Smucker says he's for open records but he can't even put up township minutes for his term in office!!! How can we believe your words Lloyd when your ACTIONS scream NOT!

Developer's Helper, Lloyd Smucker made his fortune paving over Paradise and now claims to be this big-time advocate of farm land preservation. Kind of like Lloyd's false claim of being for gun-rights while banning guns! All talk - actions deny the words. What a phoney. Lloyd and Thibault - big government liberals thinking they are smarter and know more than us. Makes me sick.

Lloyd Smucker's campaign theme song based on his record:

PS Bill Neff also had ZERO problem saying he'd sign the pledge! That's cool! What about Smucker and Thibault? ooopps! We see what happens when the taxpayers want them - NOT AVAILABLE!

Open letter to Candidate McDonald and his apologist McHarper. Given this recent pledge, please explain the following issues for me:
I barely know Steve McDonald, we've spoken maybe two or three times.
I'm a Democrat, so I can't vote for or against him in the primary.
As an uninvolved observer, I'll attempt to untwist at least some of your spin:

QUOTE(GOP Truth @ Mar 12 2008, 03:40 PM)
2) Explain the consistency of "term limiting" yourself to 3 terms in the Senate.
That one is easy. It takes the better part of two terms to gain enough seniority to be effective as a State Senator. A two-term promise is in many ways self-defeating, and constituents will pay the price.

QUOTE(GOP Truth @ Mar 12 2008, 03:40 PM)
3) Please explain why you are willing to not take a pension, but I believe you are willing to take health insurance?
That is a foolish question, if ever there were one. Have you priced health insurance on the open market? An individual would have to be independently wealthy, or incredibly foolish, to NOT ask for health insurance as a part of their compensation.

Would you take a full-time job without accepting health insurance from your new employer?

QUOTE(GOP Truth @ Mar 12 2008, 03:40 PM)
In closing, McDonald's pledge is hypocritical to his past behavior at best, and disingenous at worst.
I'm sorry, but your last question PROVES that it is YOU who is hypocritical.

And your second question proves that you are disingenuous.

QUOTE(GOP Truth @ Mar 12 2008, 03:40 PM)
1) Explain the consistency of your support for Roy Baldwin
QUOTE(GOP Truth @ Mar 12 2008, 03:40 PM)
Consistency counts, and I'd like to know how support of a notorious pay-jacker is consistent with his reform message.
I don't know Roy Baldwin, or much about him. But this much is obvious:

Your posts CONSISTENTLY attack Steve McDonald. Your consistency proves that you have an agenda. What you HAVEN'T told us is who you support that you feel the need to so consistently and so viciously attack Steve McDonald.

My guess is that you support Paul Thibault. His record as County Commissioner proves that he is exactly the type of tax-and-spend RINO that Lancaster does NOT need.

If it is Smucker you are supporting, then it is long past time you explain yourself.

As you said, consistency counts. And you have been quite consistent in your attacks.

That's a great theme song ...... thanks! I love it, you made my day (really).

GOP TRUTH aka Llloyd Smucker - when are you going to sign the pledge? Why won't you sign it?

PS Both Bill Neff and Steve McDonald have been on this board with their name - why don't you Lloyd Smucker?
