It is yet one more thing about the Amish, being used as a marketing strategy. “Amish Style” cooking and food has been used to garner business in the food industry for many years. The “Amish way of life” is a multi-million dollar avenue to attract tourists, make movies, and make all kinds of money. etc. etc. I am surprised that it hasn’t reached the fashion element a long time ago. Of course the clothing isn’t exactly what would be considered couth for this day and age, as it usually is modest.
I seriously don’t think they are insulted because from what I could see in the photos the clothing may be black, but doesn’t even remotely resemble the cut and style of their garments.

How about we set up a roadside drive in down along Route 30 and try selling "Amish Water" in bottles. Bet we would make a mint from the New Yorkers and Jerseyites!!

Heck you wouldn't need any kind of stand to clogg up Rt 30, you just need the sun to rise and the traffic gets obnoxious!
