F&M hosts poet, photographer
Photographer Blaise Tobia will present his self-published book, "Castle of Eufemio: A Small Sicilian Town and Its Extraordinary Festival," at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, at the Philadelphia Alumni Writers House, Franklin & Marshall College.
All Tobia's grandparents were born in Calatafimi, and he has been documenting it for 20 years. The book is in English and Italian.
This free, public event includes an Italian-themed meal, and Tobia's photos are on exhibit through April 20 in the Phillips Museum Curriculum Gallery on campus.
Poet Tim Seibles will read from his work at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 27, at another free, public program at the Writer's House.
Seibles, who teaches at Old Dominion University, is the author of five collections of poetry, most recently "Buffalo Head Solos." He has also recorded "Leaning House Poetry."

Friends of Hershey Public Library will present the 10th annual National Library Week author visit featuring novelist Allegra Goodman at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 13, at the library.
She will speak on "How I Write Fiction" and sign books. Her books include: "Total Immersion," "The Family Markowitz," "Kaaterskill Falls," "Paradise Park" and "Intuition."

In Annville, Dr. Clayton Crockett, an author and an editor of the book "Religion and Violence in a Secular World," will explore how religious zealotry impacts access to oil reserves at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 27, in Leedy Theater, Mund College Center, Lebanon Valley College. This event, part of a yearlong Energy Colloquium, is free to the public.
Writing course offered
Heritage & Horizons Adult Learning Opportunities will offer a five-session "Life Story Writing" course 9:30-10:25 a.m. Tuesdays, April 1-29, at Church of the Apostles United Church of Christ. Teacher is Peggy Atkins.

Pastor writes book for sexually abused
"And the Healing Begins," by Randy Hilton, of Conestoga, is a new book for victims of sexual abuse, offering practical spiritual advice to help overcome the many obstacles they face.
Hilton is director of Promised Land Bible Camp in Conestoga and teaches at Dayspring Christian Academy. He also pastors a church in Baltimore, Md.
His 51-page paperback, from PublishAmerica, is priced at $12.95.
Poem in anthology
"In the Dirt," a poem by Millersville University English professor Gwyn McVay, appears in the new anthology "Letters to the World," edited by Moira Richards, et al., and published by Red Hen Press.
