We sat on a bench across from her at Rita's in Sinking Spring once. I had no idea who she was and our little McMonsters were putting on a show while eating their water ices, which she and her friends seemed to enjoy. While I thought she looked familiar, I was a little distracted trying to manage our little Unmanageables and cleaning up their shirts, etc. When Kelly and her friends left, a gentleman who was nearby told us who she was and it clicked.
There are rumors of other famous people with houses in Berks, too, like Richard Gere (I think). Some of them come to the Caron Foundation for rehab and fall in love with the area, from what I've heard.

Edited to add: Kelly McGillis is the only famous person I've personally ever seen in this area.

Doesn't Richard Gere have a place in the Nolte's Forest area?

I'm not sure where it is alleged to be. For some reason, I thought it might be in/near Mohnton, which isn't that far from Nolte Forest.

I never heard of the Caron Foundation, and did a little research. Are their facilities close to Wernersville State Hospital?

Yes. Not all of their clients are famous people...which is why I guess it's convenient to be located near the state hospital. We know a couple of people who have worked there (it's a big employer in the area).
