ACCIDENTS
MANHEIM TWP.: Township police reported three minor injuries from a three-vehicle crash reported at 2:41 p.m. Thursday in the 1400 block of Manheim Pike, north of West Roseville Road. A vehicle driven by Janice Hawk, 49, Lititz, struck the back of a stopped vehicle driven by Joy Hobson, 57, Lancaster, police said. The Hobson vehicle then struck the back of a vehicle driven by Vicky Bowman, 51, Brownstown, police said.
MANHEIM TWP.: Stacy Vallat, 36, Lancaster, was taken to a hospital after her vehicle overturned at 7:16 p.m. Thursday at Marshall Avenue and Juliette Avenue, township police said. Police said Vallat failed to stop for a stop sign on Juliette Avenue, and her vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by Skender Sekiraga, 24, of Lancaster.
CAERNARVON TWP.: Three trucks were involved in a 1:16 p.m. crash Wednesday on Route 322, near the Chester County line, and one of the vehicles struck a home, Ephrata state police said. Leonard J. Shreiner, 58, Leola, was injured and taken to Ephrata Community Hospital, police said. Jerry A. Dorrell Sr., 54, Boyertown, was driving east and negotiating a right turn when the brakes of his tractor-trailer locked up, Trooper Phillip Matson said. The trailer of Dorrell's rig sideswiped Shreiner's westbound truck police said. When Shreiner attempted to swerve out of the way, his truck left the roadway and struck the home of Dustin and Jennifer Martin, 6222 28th Division Highway (Route 322), Narvon, Matson said. A Dodge Ram truck, driven by Kurtis L. Reichard, 27, Leola, was struck with debris from the crash, police said.
LITITZ: Lititz police are seeking a woman whose vehicle struck a 16-year-old girl who was walking across South Broad Street (Route 501) at Orange Street at about 4:50 p.m. Thursday. The impact knocked the girl over, and she was admitted to Lancaster General Hospital l with a broken left elbow and a broken toe, Sgt. Kerry D. Nye said. The driver, described as a white woman in her 50s who drove a small dark vehicle, stopped and asked the pedestrian her name, but left without furnishing any information, police said. Witnesses to the accident are asked to call Lititz police at 626-6393 or 664-1180.
BRECKNOCK TWP.: A sport-utility vehicle driven by a 17-year-old from the Mohnton area struck a fence and then a telephone pole shortly after noon Wednesday in the 200 block of Boulder Hill Road, north of Bowmansville, Ephrata state police said. The boy was driving west and lost control of his 1997 GMC Sonoma when he entered a right turn, police said. There was no word as to injuries.
DISTURBANCES
EAST PETERSBURG: A 16-year-old East Petersburg boy who allegedly threw snowballs at a school bus stop on Feb. 25 has been charged with propulsion-of-missiles as the snowballs struck a vehicle driven by a Lancaster woman, Manheim Township police said. The incident happened at 3:24 p.m. after the 16-year-old got off a school bus at Carpenter and Stevens streets, police said. The boy has been charged through the Juvenile Court system, police said.
LANCASTER: City police cited Corinne R. Wood, 22, of 729 Aspen Lane, Lebanon, for public drunkenness and Kelly L. Reighard, 28, of 715 Garden Drive, Harrisburg, for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct following an incident early Wednesday morning at the Brickyard, 415 N. Prince St.
LANCASTER: City police cited two people, ages 34 and 49, for disorderly conduct when officers responded to a fight shortly before 8 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of East Lemon Street. Names of those cited were not available. The fight caused a "public inconvenience," police said.
DRUNKEN DRIVING
EAST LAMPETER TWP.: Shawn Todd Wesley, 42, Lancaster, was arrested for suspected drunken driving following a vehicle stop at 2:13 a.m. Friday on Route 30 near Greenfield Road, Lancaster state police said.
DRUG CHARGES
COLERAIN TWP.: Drug-possession charges are pending against Daniel Shaw, Peach Bottom, who allegedly was found smoking marijuana in his vehicle at 4:24 p.m. March 15 at Route 472 and Black Rock Road, Lancaster state police said.
MANHEIM: Manheim police charged Tara Lynn Baker, 20,of 122 E. High St., Manheim, with possession or use of drug paraphernalia from a March 13 incident in the first block of South Hazel Street. Police said an officer stopped Baker for an equipment violation on a vehicle, and discovered she had numerous warrants. After being taken into custody, Baker told said she had drug paraphernalia in her clothing, police said.
THEFT CHARGES
MANOR TWP.: Township police cited Shanita Hadley, of the 1900 block of Third Street, Philadelphia, for retail theft from the alleged theft of makeup items early Thursday morning at the CVS store, 2020 Columbia Ave.
LANCASTER: City police cited Roger J. Guzman, 27, of 539 E. Fulton St., for retail theft from an incident Monday afternoon at the Giant store, 235 N. Reservoir St. Guzman allegedly took about $47 worth of moisturizer/lotion products from the store, police said.
LANCASTER: City police cited a 14-year-old boy for retail theft after he allegedly took Sony high-performance headsets, valued at about $38, from the Sears store, Park City shopping center, on Tuesday evening.
THEFT CRIMES
MANHEIM TWP.: A woman left the Kmart store, 1890 Fruitville Pike, at 2:10 p.m. Tuesday without paying for a $21 weight-loss supplement item, township police said.
MANHEIM TWP: Thor Samuelson, 47, Lititz, told township police a wallet was stolen from his jacket Tuesday while he attended a function at the Eden Resort, 222 Eden Road. The loss was $136.
LANCASTER: About $1,700 worth of items, including prescription pills, two ceiling fans, a PlayStation system, and video games, were reported stolen in a burglary that happened between 4 and 7 p.m. Tuesday at an apartment in the 400 block of East Orange Street, city police said.
FULTON TWP.: A Chicago-model generator that belonged to Christ S. Fisher, Peach Bottom, was reported stolen March 15-17 from the 200 block of Cedar Hill Road, Lancaster state police said.
FULTON TWP.: Two metal candle holders were reported stolen between 10:30 a.m. and 1:20 p.m. Wednesday from a shed at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, 210 Pilottown Road, Peach Bottom, state police said.
VANDALISM
MANHEIM: A 15-year-old Penn Township girl faces a criminal-mischief charge for allegedly damaging a car on March 3 at Manheim Memorial Park. The car had deep scratches, and damage exceeded $500, Manheim police said.
