Lydsol, You seem to have this propensity to twist things around, either by design or by an innate inabilty to understand what people have to say.
This is evident on other threads as in this one.
Once more and s-l-o-w-ly. I did not say there were no contributions by Germany, I said I cannot recall any major ones in the larger context of world developement.
Monotheism was a binding centralizing force in the organizing of society at that time. Whereas there were other cultures that had a degree of monotheism none were like Judaism. This had an eneormous impact on the developement of their people and when compared to the simple Germans you can see why the Germans pale in comparison.
To discount Judaism as you do is someone ludicrous.
The accomplishments of the Jews are too numerous to list. We can talk about how they organized the economies of Europe toward the middle of the last millenium, while Germans were doing God knows what, and how when they were thrown out the economies collapsed.
Germany was a backwards country until relativelyyrecently in their long history, and then their contribution seems to be two World Wars and some banging good beer and nice cars.
If they are soo numourous to list then you should have no problem putting more than just monotheisim. I nerer discounted Judism, i simply asked you to give me a list of what they've contribued. But you still haven't done that. But once again you accuse me of something then yourself do the same thing. I asked you to awnser a simple question. I wasn't dogging the Jews at all, i simply asked since you couldn't think of anything the Germans contributed and you knew alot the Jews contributed, i simply asked you to list them. But the only thing you listed was monothesism and can't think of anything else. And once again you don't awnser my question you just keep saying the Germans were a backwards country. Monothesism was not the binding force to create government/organization at the time. If you consider that tiny section of the world everyone, maybe. Funny how i never said the Jews didn't contribute anything but you continue to dog the Germans as backwards, simple etc.
You seem to have a real loose grip on any type of history, so why don't you go do some reading and come back when you actually know what your talking about. And i'll be waiting for you to come back with more contributions the Jews made.

To whom is the concept of zero in mathmatics attributed? Certainly not the Germans. They were kind of late arriving on the scene were they not?
Who developed astronomy ,astrology, and other arts and sciences?
A white guy sitting in some cave in the middle of Europe?
No sir they were many centuries behind the curve.
Check and check mate!
Once again there Bigby, read up on your history. The concept of zero was "discovered" by the Indians(Hindus). And what did that even have to do with Whirls post? Just making stuff up now are we? And please do tell me who developed arts, sciences astronomy and astrology? I mean since you seem to know so much correct information.
