Once again it seems it is easier to jump to conclusions and believe that the reporting was accurate than to consider all sides.Speaking up for this man was not easy for Ms.Charles nor anyone else. I ask you to imagine a family member or friend in a similar situation. You may believe they deserve jail time but you may also want to see that they get help for a sick, sick mental illness so they cannot do more harm to themselves and others. That is what the character witnesses were called for.
By your logic here, it sounds as though you have no children. I would ask you; instead of sypathizing with the PERPETRATOR, to imagine a member of your family (your child if you do have one) in a video being raped. Now imagine how you would feel if a person were to tell you how "wonderful" the man was who helped to perpetuate the rape, then he watched and derived pleasure from it. That's the issue here. If he needs help then help he should receive, BUT, he should not be allowed anywhere near children and let's stop sugar coating it. He's NOT WONDERFUL and anyone who can say he is is a liar or just doesn't care about the children being raped in these videos! Either way I can't support either of them. "Whoa unto you who guard evil"
It's time to stop getting things twisted and start making people take responsibility for their actions. Victims are victims and perps are perps. Look at things objectively and put them in the proper perspective. Call a spade a spade. If it walks like a pedophile...
