Also, if I'm not mistaking Penn Manor had the third highest SAT scores in the county behind Township and Hempfield... and they weren't off by much.

Ummm .... Colleges are starting to drop SAT's because they are to Stressful on the students.
Heard it on TV tonight.
Now the 'dumming down' is moving to the Higher Education people too!!!

If anyone here is facing no college for their motivated child because of cost, I suggest that you go to this link: http://www.workcolleges.org/colleges.htm

You're welcome! It would be cool if the LNP would try to offer some 'light at the end of the tunnel' solutions. They're out here :-)

What's also cool is that students have such a small debt load at the end of their undergrad that many of these schools graduate many more students headed to grad school. Breaking all kinds of cycles of poverty. And because a lot of the work is centered on things that many conservative non-college parents can identify with, their parents can see that what they count as important is also important to the school their child is attending. And for the children who are in the college, there is often a level of confidence and competence in work that they bring with them and then it follows into their academic studies.
