Bail is suppose to be measured on whether the district judge feels the defendant will show up for his or her court appearances. Now some district judges are prone to set higher bails than other judges. The district judges in the city usually set higher bail because a lot of the defendants they run into are flight risks. The fact that the defendant has been is trouble before also enters into the decision.

I heard a rumor that the title of this year's symphony at Lancaster County Prison is going to be "Music in A Minor."

Right. And they seem to know where to find Shearer so his bail could be set lower.

I am confused , as usual, by the facts. This woman is 18 years old kids. And she needs her gramma there to care for her? Is that like a babysitter?

I understand that one of the condition of his bail is that he stays away from her, but if they are truly in love it would be almost impossible.

The solution is simple. He should divorce his wife and marry this 18 year old woman. She can't testify against him as his wife and what charges are they going to bring against him if he marries her? We would all look kind of silly if we jail him for having sex with a minor that he then married. After the wedding they can leave the state and live happily ever after for a few years somewhere else.

That way I don't have to hear no more about this sordid tale.

The drama is killing me.

I'm lost, someone please explain. If he got caught three times. . . first time is what brought the charges. Second time was when he contacted her by phone and the school caught them - he got 250K CASH bail that time, right? Now this third time, in the woods, how was he out? Did someone really post 250K cash for this guy? Why wasn't that an article in the paper? Holy crap, this guy is all about this girl isn't he?

The explanation doesn't get any simpler. Our judges who let these mentally ill people out onto our streets and back into our neighborhoods and schools, need to be removed from their seats, but of course, we must also first, alter the laws so the judges can't possibly make such ill-advised decisions, any longer.
