A trio of Lancaster County girls soccer teams advanced on the first day of the PIAA playoffs on Tuesday.
Bethany Engle (13) scored for Lancaster Mennonite in the Blazers' victory on Tuesday.
In Triple-A, Conestoga Valley blanked Berwick 3-0, while in Double-A, Lancaster Mennonite knocked off Allentown Central Catholic 3-0 and Donegal disposed of Springfield (Montgomery County) 4-1.
The Buckskins, Blazers and Indians will be back in action in state quarterfinal games on Friday.
Meanwhile, four Lancaster County teams were sent packing with first-round losses on Tuesday:
In Triple-A, Penn Manor fell to William Tennent 3-1 and Warwick dropped a 1-0 decision to Central Bucks West, and in Double-A, Lancaster Catholic lost to Dallas 4-0 and Lampeter-Strasburg came up on the short end of a 1-0 score to Northwest Lehigh.
On Friday, CV will take on Central Bucks West in a Triple-A quarterfinal, and in Double-A, Lancaster Mennonite will get a rematch with defending state champ Dallas, which knocked off the Blazers in this round a year ago, and Donegal will take on the winner of today's game featuring Fleetwood and Palisades, which was postponed Tuesday.
The state semifinals are next Tuesday, and the state title games are set for next Friday.

Janelle Frey, Brittany Hurst and Morgan Gerz scored second-half goals for the Buckskins, who picked up their first win in state-playoff competition after out-shooting Berwick 14-5.
Amanda McGowan made five saves for CV, earning her 13th shutout of the season.
William Tennent 3,
Penn Manor 1
Jourdan Brill gave the Comets a 1-0 lead off a feed from Brianna Pham in the 41st minute, but William Tennent scored three unanswered goals, outshot Penn Manor 13-11, and eliminated the Comets.
Central Bucks West 1,
Warwick 0
It took overtime, but the Bucks knocked off the Warriors when Amanda Fleischut scored in the 94th minute.
And in Double-A:

Allentown Central Catholic 0
The L-L League champs got second-half goals from Bethany Engle, Katelyn Vanderhoff and Brianna Lehman and outshot the Vikettes 10-3.
Lehman and Vanderhoff also assisted on goals for the Blazers.
Donegal 4,
Springfield (Montco) 1
Brittany Knouse, Alecia McNiff, Karyn Rubright and Jenna Hunter scored for the Indians, who outshot Springfield 8-5.
Dallas 4,
Lancaster Catholic 0
Ellen Arnaud had a hat trick and Tara Connors opened the scoring for the Mountaineers, who opened their title defense by blanking the Crusaders.
Northwest Lehigh 1,
Lampeter-Strasburg 0
At Emmaus, the Pioneers held the advantage in shots (6-5) and corners (4-2), but Kathryn Hallingstad scored 2:59 into the second half for the Tigers, who eliminated L-S.
