Police apprehended two motorists and one passenger following vehicle pursuits in Ephrata and Lancaster.

Ephrata police said Clifford Fassnacht, of the 700 block of Wollups Hill Road, Stevens, wouldn't pull over when police tried to stop him for a violation at 1:39 a.m. Sunday in the first block of Bethany Road.

Fassnacht eventually fled on foot from his vehicle. He was apprehended and charged with fleeing and eluding a police officer.

Lancaster police pursued a Dodge Caravan van driven by Aaron Robinson, 32, of 61 Tia Circle, Mount Joy, at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the west end of the city.

Robinson passed a vehicle in a no-passing zone on Columbia Avenue and  drove on the sidewalk on South West End Avenue when he saw police were pursuing him, Officer Ryan Work said.

Traveling at about 60 mph, Robinson allegedly drove through a red light at West End Avenue and Manor Street and continued south to the 300 block of  Hershey Avenue. There, the driver and four others fled on foot from the vehicle, Work said.

Police apprehended Robinson and one passenger, Erik Santana, 23, of Lancaster.

Robinson faces charges of fleeing/eluding police, a red-light violation, reckless driving and other traffic violations that include speeding.  Santana is being charged with disorderly conduct, police said.
