One 'amazing' day
City’s first gay pride event, though it drew a half-dozen protesters, was a mix of music, family, funnel cake and drag queens.

What I wrote made sense. I am sorry if you did not comprehend it. The block is yours, vcapecce, and not my own..and probably not everyone elses, either.
I believed that tugrad was asking for clarification of what I wrote. She is an intelligent human being and will ask for clarification before jumping to the conclusion that she must be insulted by what I write. She may still feel insulted by what I write, but she also checks on the consistency of my framework, I believe.

lol....For readers to understand what one is writing about in this type of "thread", and to understand what what you are commenting on, your post must be relatively self contained within its entry. I re-read your block, and I have no idea what previous entry you were commenting on, so it remains incomprehensible.
These are publicly posted writings. When treated like a private conversation, with naive presumptions that every reader is "eavesdropping", the result is babble that defies comprehension. An educator should be aware of modes of expression and appropriate cohesiveness of expressed and organized thought.
Look at your phrase: "She may still feel insulted by what I write, but she also checks on the consistency of my framework, I believe. "

What does THAT mean? "consistency of my framework"? "2x4's?"

When read separately, your postings have the impression of babble. Because of that, you offer no credence to your opinions.

SSDD! Wow, ! My father/sire could procreate, in fact I'm on of 11 or more children.

He was married 5 times, Hardly in my experience!!LOL

Fact is, we would have been far better off NOT to have seen and experienced his 1 man and 1 woman combinations! and all the issues that went along with someone of his ilk. BUT obviously YOU KNOW better than my "having been there lived that" experience!! Far be it for those living in certain situations, you have no clue about, to actually know more than you and your guessing, with no experience of your own to glean from.

I've have known more same sex families with more stability for the children they are raising, their own naturally or adopted, than those with 1 male and 1 female, Christian or non. (sad commentary, wouldn't you say?)

Perhaps if the 1 male 1 female marriages(Christian or Non) would put as much energy into having a good marriage as they are from preventing same sex marriages, they would have more credibility for their stand on this issue.

Love it....In a published letter to the Sunday News, I also noted that it is foolish to presume that a man and a woman couple are automatically qualified to raise children simply because they can breed.

DC-people in general really like me. In fact we have been invited to every single party that has taken place down here even to people who do not know us that well because we are considered fun people. We also have some great debates down here much like LOL except without the name calling and insulting my husband and my life choices. We are much respected and even envied becasue we have made it possible for us to have a great summer. Work hard play harder is our mentality. Yesterday I painted our windows, did the gardening and then had a break by swimmig laps and sunbathing. No one tells us that I am lazy or a moocher.
Now as for genetic homosexuality, I am no science wiz but I know a lot of gay people and ALL of them knew something was different as young as three years old. One friend knew he says when he was about 10. Now when I was around 12 I started finding boys cute and wondering about dating them. So I believe that it is somewhat genetic and since God does not make mistakes then good folks like tugrad and bigmac are exactly as God intended them to be. It is those who question and demean their life choices as they do mine who are employed by Satan.

I had a crush on my kindergarten teacher at the age of 4. That wasn't a choice to me. I do not condemn others who don't think like I do-THAT IS A CHOICE!!!!!

I just cannot understand why we got into "this view" vs. "that view" on this particular thread. The people who went to the pride festival [DAY not MONTH],....were discussing the festival. This discussion degraded to a discussion of heterosexuality vs. homosexuality, once again.
I guess we cannot keep some subjects on topic.

For the record, WW, It was Goldi that started it off with the "bondage of homosexuality" that started the ball rolling. She can be not so nice in her wording sometimes. I guess that tends to make people defensive. If all one wants to do is educate and do their part by doing that I would say that you should not make people so stinking defensive. She doesn't want to educate-it is beyond obvious that she is just looking to condemn and that just makes me sick, sorry. At least you do it in a diplomatic way and I at least respect you for that much, thank you.

The law states marriage is between 1 man and 1 woman…you understand that right?
If there is no change the law will last till the end of time…right?
An that currently a majority of the people in PA do not want a change in the law….are you still with me?
So clearly if the law is over thrown it will be against the will of the people. It will be FORCED on a majority of Pennsylvanians.
Please tell me who is forcing what on whom? ( in case you still are confused)
[size="3"]Since a 1 man 1 woman marriage law is in effect, gay will need to FORCE their views and believes on the rest ( a clear majority ) of us to change that law.

You are still the same lame old A$$ that you will always be. I believe the tides will turn and nothing is going to be forced on anyone-they are becoming more educated you see- I know that you don't understand that concept nor will you ever but it's coming and I anxiously await the day that i can shove it in your face and sit back with a big smug look on my face and say, "See, I told you DutchBoy was wrong"!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure it was all about business, it was however about the family unit, raising of children which brought strength in numbers and family ties. Adultery, homosexuality, family abandonment and out of wedlock births were all considered sinful, (not necessarily in a religious way) because they harmed the family unit. I include homosexuality because that was the ultimate betrayal of the family unit; refusal to procreate and participate in the established order. In addition there was and still is among a vast majority of people revulsion regarding 2 men having sex with one another. It is not normal behavior, if we define normal as common place and something practiced by a majority.
[size="3"]I don't care what people do, or who they have sex with, love or want to spend the rest of their lives with. But marriage should only be between those that can procreate and between those who are undoubtedly the best combination for raising children. And that's 1 man and 1 woman.

wow , maybe if you keep typing it over and over again it may come true. just because you repeat something doesnt meen its true. history proves what i typed. in the middle ages those that were allowed to marry rarely even raised their children, it was done by nannies and such.
