A Mount Joy man was in critical condition Monday after he was ejected from a garden tractor and landed on a large rock, police said.
Robert Garber, 30, was injured Sunday night while operating the tractor on a friend's property on Klinesville Road, according to police.
The tractor was pulling a trailer in a remote wooded area when Garber lost control of it, police said. Garber was thrown from the tractor, and his head struck a large rock, rendering him unconscious, investigators said.
Garber was taken to Lancaster General Hospital by helicopter because the accident scene was too far from the road for ambulance transport.
A nursing supervisor at LGH said Garber was in critical condition Monday night.
