Police said they saw Nunemaker's vehicle weaving, and observed her throw a cigarette out the window.

Nunemaker was also charged with depositing waste on the roadway and careless driving, police said.

DUI is bad enough, but it's about time the police do their job and ticket for littering also!

Yeah, not to hijack this thread, but:

I was riding my motorcycle last night, an this car in front of me with 4 people in it kept ashing and throwing their cigarettes out the window. Please don't do that.

First of all, I'm on a motorcycle. I don't want your butts bouncing of me. Especially if a still lit one were to lodge in my crotch or something. Do not throw flaming debris at someone who is using all 4 limbs to control their vehicle.

And I get why people throw cigarettes out their car windows. Cigarettes stink. They don't want them in their car. Well, guess what? That's why we don't want them either. You smoked it, live with it. Dispose of it properly. Jerks.

As a motocycle rider, this is one of the major reasons I maintain a safe distance between myself and the car in front of me... besides the obvious stopping distance issues. I know someone who got into a bad wreck, because the car in front of them flicked a butt, and it hit the rider's neck and went down his jacket. It burned him and his reaction was to get the embers off him, which caused him to lose control.

If I see a rider behind me, I always wait to dispose of my butts, because I would appreciate the same from others.

I'll agree with that. I've had butts bounce off my hood, once by a state trooper. I even saw a guy throw a butt into a private residence's yard. Litter and fire hazards. Lazy selfish jerks!

Littering seems to have double standards.
