"They're cowboys with guns."

Kind of like his son who was always a loose cannon.

Thank Heavens Gib is done. All he has ever done is look out for himself and his own interests or how his own pockets could be lined.

The voters of senator Armstrong's district should call for his resignation.

Impeachment would be the next step. THIS GUY IS A CROOK!

He is a disgrace. ABUSE OF POWER.

He should NOT be allowed to retire on tax payer dollars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He is pointing a finger at a law enforcement officer who was doing his job.

This clown's son had a loaded firearm in a vehicle, lied about it, and then speeds away when the officer tries to obtain his identification.

Maybe there was something more illegal in the car than just a loaded firearm. Maybe something that would have put him and his unidentified passenger away for a long time?

Got to wonder why someone would run over a game law check!

As a Pa resident and hunter for 30 years, I have witnessed several instances of WCO's exceeding their boundries. I have personally dealt with instances where the game wardens were harrassing my teen age children and were completly out of line. The best way I have found to resolve an incident is to call in the State police to sort things out. WCO's and police do not play well together in my area and the police have always been able to be the professionals and deal with the situation effectively.

That being said, I support Armstrongs proposed legilation because the Game commission can not obviously police it self

Maybe your teenage children were out of line, but you are like Armstrong, unable to let your kids grow up and respect the law!

Armstrong has clearly ABUSED his authority and should resign. He is a crook!

He should NOT be allowed to retire on tax payer dollars!

Good post. DWCO's are nothing but wannabe barney fife's and try and throw their power way too far. So do some WCO's. Clarion County ring a bell to anyone? LMFAO.

It's been my experiance with people who have bad things to say about law enforcement, that they like to break the law and when they get caught blame the law enforcement officers who caught them for being the "bad guy".

as a hunter myself, i have a few differences with the PGC's deer management program and their ban on sunday hunting, but i fully support their law enforcement efforts. there's way too many 'slob hunters' out there that give us law-abiding hunters a bad name.

Senator Armstrong, you are WAY off base on this issue. your son got caught "road hunting" and isn't man enough to admit he was wrong and pay the consequences. this deputy had every reason to do what he did in that situation. from this account, your son acted like...well...a senator's son. heck, i half expected to read that he asked the deputy "do you know who i am?"

Good thing you waited until after the case was resolved so as to not appear to be trying to influence the case. now it only appears that you're trying to get revenge on the PGC for their rightful prosecution of your son's illegal acts.

shame on you for wasting the taxpayers' time and money. and shame on any lawmaker that supports this blatant attempt at payback!
I'll bet this clown's son had more than just a loaded firearm in that car.

He probably got off pretty cheap.

Why would you run away for just a minor game law violation?

I happened to hear Mr. Armstrong on the radio and he said he was never asked if he had a firearm in the vehicle or for ID. And he wasn't pulled over by the deputy. The deputy walked by and asked "How's the hunting?" The Game Commission spokesperson on at the same time didn't say any of that happened either, as was reported in the paper. The big problem the Game commission had with Armstrong is that he didn't ask for their help in keeping hunters off of posted property. Which is funny because it's not illegal to neglect to ask for their help. Another funny moment was when the spokesperson refused to comment on the specifics of the now resolved case because it was now a matter of public record. Usually they can't comment on cases that are pending or working their way through the courts. Correct me if I'm wrong, but did I detect a sly dodge of specifics?

The radio interview wasn't all that focused and I had the thought that it was fairly useless for both sides.
