A 16-year-old Conestoga boy was reportedly beaten and robbed in the driveway of his home early Friday morning, Southern Regional Police said.

The teenager told Cpl. Rob Burger that two men in another car followed him from Willow Street to his house on Conestoga Drive around 4 a.m.

The passenger got out of the car, struck the victim in the head and arm with a pipe and cut him on the back of the head with a knife, police said. He also demanded money and prescription pain medication.

The teenager gave the robber $61 in cash, compact discs, pain medication and a prescription for more medication. He was treated and released at Lancaster Regional Medical Center.

Police described the suspect as a Hispanic male in his mid 20s, about 5-10 or 5-11, 160 to 180 pounds, with an extremely thin mustache and a goatee. The car was described as a black or green 1990 Honda Civic.

Southern Regional Police Department members were also dispatched to the following incidents recently:

• On Thursday morning, at around 2, police cited Derreck L. Strausbaugh, 18, of Chadwick Circle, with marijuana possession and underage drinking after they were called to investigate a report of suspicious males in the area of Cobblestone Drive, in the Willow Street area of Pequea Township.

• Last Monday, Thomas Wade Showalter, 36, of 41 W. Farnum St., Lancaster, was charged with terroristic threats, simple assault and disorderly conduct after police were called to a domestic dispute in the first block of Cobblestone Drive, Willow Street, Pequea Township.

The resident and two witnesses told police that Showalter came to the house around 5 p.m. and threatened the victim and used obscenities in the presence of small children.

Finally hope and i agree on something. Yeah there's more to this story than is being told. The reporter went for the catchy headline, instead of actually telling the real story. The 16 year old should be charged with being out after curfew. .

If it's who I think it was, he was just released from the E.R.

If that is true, where were his parents/guardians? He is under the age of majority so he can't sign any hospital documents.
Hope
After doing some checking, I found out that the teen is actually 38 years old. So much for accurate reporting.

A person can refuse mental health treatment at the age of 14. Perhaps he was brought in for abuse/use issues?

I know this guy, and I don't think it had much to do with lack of intelligence! Arrogance maybe, also down here in the boonies ROW's are quite common, they were written into the deeds many years ago. Another thing that muddies the water is that your deed might say one thing but your neighbors might say something else or at the very least worded differently which then leaves it up to the homeowners interpretation. I don't know the details of this incident and i'm not defending this guy, just sayin!
