Park City Center will soon be home to the Los Angeles-based retailer Forever 21 Inc., a popular teen shopping destination. The company will open its Forever XXI store sometime in August with a 10,000-square-foot space in the Bon Ton wing at Park City.
With 39 stores nationwide, The Forever 21 brand caters to the trendy, savvy shopper seeking creative clothing designs at affordable prices, according to the company.
• You may have noticed the busy Olive Garden Italian Restaurant at Rockvale Outlets that opened last month.
Built in Olive Garden's Tuscan-farmhouse design, it is the second Lancaster County location for the company.
Valerie Insignares, executive vice president of operations for Olive Garden, said the restaurant created about 160 jobs. It is a 247-seat, 7,441-square-foot restaurant.
Olive Garden's other Lancaster County restaurant opened in 1993 just west of Park City Center.
• Strasburg Rail Road last month opened it's retail store, Strasburg Station. The 6,000-square-foot store sells tickets for the Strasburg Rail road, as well as railroading books, DVDs, model trains and accessories, along with Pennsylvania Dutch and Strasburg Rail Road gifts and souvenirs.
• Country Home Furniture, located at the Shady Maple complex in East Earl, has changed ownership.
Now owned by CVW Investments of Ohio the company expects business as usual with aggressive growth in mind at the 30,000-square-foot store.The company has expanded its lines of handcrafted home furnishings and large selection of Amish furniture and offers a greater variety of unique upholstery selections from as many as 10 brand-name upholstery vendors.
• Closed for about one year, a new 1950s-style restaurant, The Prospect Diner, has opened between Mountville and Columbia.
Michael Conroy and his wife, April, purchased and polished the diner located along Route 462. The renovated diner has retro red-vinyl seats and booths with room for 50 at the counter.
The restaurant operated previously as Benji's Diner, 3-D Diner and other names.
• Hope's Vision Eye Care Associates has expanded its space in the Mount Joy Square Shopping Center. The three-year-old business knocked down a wall to nearly triple its office space. There's a larger waiting room that includes a children's play area.
• Verizon Wireless has leased a 1,400-square-foot retail space in the Trout Run Business Center, 364 N. Reading Road in Ephrata.
Jim Wentz of High Associates Ltd. handled the transaction for the owner, HF Real Estate Partnership. Jeremiah Hamilton of Coldwell Banker Bennett Williams represented Verizon Wireless.
• Stoner Inc. in Quarryville has acquired a line of industrial mold-release agents from Releasomers Inc. in Bradfordwoods for an undisclosed price.
Stoner will manufacture the Releasomers line, with 30 products, while continuing production of the Stoner line of aerosol and bulk-liquid mold-release agents.
These products allow items molded from plastics, rubber, polyurethane and carbon-fiber composites to slide easily out of molds.
• Central PA Rehabilitation Services Inc. (CPRS Physical Therapy) has announced its additional expansion in Lancaster County with the acquisition of Lancaster-based BHB Rehabilitation.
