Police are investigating a Tuesday afternoon burglary at a West Donegal Township home in the 1700 block of Bossler Road.
Unknown burglars entered the dwelling by breaking a back window. The intruders ransacked the home, causing thousands of dollars' worth of damage, before fleeing with a 32-inch television and other items, Northwest Regional Police Chief Sam Gatchell said.
"Police feel the suspects spent a considerable amount of time in the residence due to the extensive amount of vandalism that occurred," Gatchell said.
Anyone who might have observed suspicious activity in the area is asked to call Northwest Regional police at 367-8481 or Lancaster City/County CrimeStoppers at 1-800-322-1913. Callers may remain anonymous.
Manor Township police also are looking for a house burglar.
Shortly before 9 p.m. Monday, police were sent to a home in the 3700 block of Columbia Avenue, east of Mountville.
The front door had been forced open, and various items were missing from the home, Officer Justin Kinard said. The items included a television, PlayStation 3 system, Nintendo Wii system, an iPod and jewelry.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Manor Township police at 299-5231 or CrimeStoppers.
