Vandals have been active in Ephrata, and one of their targets was a historical railroad car that sits near the center of town.
Ephrata police received word Monday that vandals had entered the Pennsylvania Railroad caboose in the first block of North State Street.
Objects had been thrown around inside the caboose, but police had no damage estimate.
The Ephrata Area Historical Conservation Trust owns and cares for the caboose, police said.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Ephrata police at 738-9200.
