Jessica M. Lopez, 20, allegedly hit several things this year, and a judge returned the favor, hitting her with bail set at $250,000.
Magisterial Court Judge Bruce Roth set the bond for Lopez on Aug. 8, after she allegedly used her blue 2000 Chevrolet Impala as a weapon for the second time in six months and attacked three police officers in the aftermath.
After failing to post the bail, Lopez, 557 W. Grant St., Apt. 2, was remanded to Lancaster County Prison. She's charged with kicking, scratching and spitting on police officers who took her into custody Aug. 8 after she allegedly struck a vehicle intentionally and tried to run down two men who exited it.
The court also has learned of an incident that took place Feb. 25 in which she is accused of ramming her Impala into a vehicle occupied by two women.
In the Aug. 8 incident, Officer Michael Dean responded to a complaint that Lopez had rammed two vehicles in front of her Grant Street apartment. Two victims told police that Lopez had intentionally struck their vehicle just after the driver parked at about 9:15 a.m.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, Lopez also struck a another parked car, attempted to chase down the men, punctured all four tires on the victim's car and used an unknown object to scratch the left side of the victim's 2001 green Chevrolet Impala.
When Lopez was arrested, police said, she became combative and scratched and kicked Dean and spit in the face of another officer.
Dean said he found two small plastic bags containing marijuana during a search of Lopez's purse.
When Lopez was taken to be booked, police said she scratched and spit on the face of a detective at the Lancaster police station.
Charges from that incident include four counts of aggravated assault, two counts of aggravated harassment by prisoner, two counts of criminal mischief and possession of a small amount of marijuana.
Her preliminary hearing, postponed last week, has been rescheduled for Sept. 3 before Roth.
Lancaster police in May charged Lopez for the Feb. 28 incident in Lancaster, in which she allegedly beat a woman with her fists before intentionally crashing her Impala into the victim's rented 2008 Saturn Aura in the parking lot of a Gulf station at 653 Columbia Ave.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, Officer Thomas Grinder responded Feb. 25 to the home of Lindsay Colon, who said she had been attacked inside the Gulf station by a woman who had followed her around the store.
Colon, who was punched in the face and head several times, told police that she and another female made it to their mother's rented Saturn in the parking lot. The woman from the store, who was later identified as Lopez, approached their vehicle and punched through the driver's side window, police said.
When the victims began to drive off, a blue Impala swerved by and struck the Saturn's passenger side.
The next day, Grinder said he located Lopez's Impala parked on the 300 block of Mill Street. Grinder said the vehicle had fresh damage on the passenger side and the license plate number was almost identical to the one reported by the victims at the Gulf station.
Police on May 11 learned that Avis Rental in Manheim Township reported the total damage to the Saturn was about $2,400.
Lopez was charged May 12 with one count each of criminal mischief and harassment before Roth, who issued a summons for Lopez.
