Pearl Street United Methodist Church is seeking donations for its school uniform bank that benefits School District of Lancaster students.

Individuals, churches and community groups are asked to consider donating money for the purchase of new uniforms or donating gently used uniform pieces.

The district requires students through middle school to wear khaki or navy bottoms — slacks, shorts and cargo pants for boys, or slacks, cargo pants, shorts, skirts, skorts, capris or jumpers for girls — and white, light-blue or navy tops with collars, either polo, button-down or turtleneck. White, navy and light-blue cardigans, V-neck, crew and turtleneck sweaters and sweater vests also are worn. Only solid-color items are allowed.

Donations can be mailed to the church, 131 Pearl St., Lancaster, Pa., 17603, or clothing can be dropped off between 9 a.m. and noon weekdays. Donations in bulk will be picked up. For more information, call the church office at 393-8892.
