"On balance, (Biden) brings a lot more strengths to the ticket and shores up Obama's weaknesses probably better than any other candidate he could have picked," Madonna said.

Like lack of experance as a leader.....that's wonderful

As A McCain supporter and one who like a good match, it seems to me like it should be JoeBi as the presidential candidate and BHO as the VP. At least if the Dems win, I would have a heck of a lot more confidence in Biden than Obama.

Yeah, that would tend to make much more sense. I'm certain there's a political strategy behind it though. Sometimes it's not who's best, it's who's gonna git the most votes.

Experience is what makes a great President. To be a truly great President, ideally, a candidate should have executive experience as a Govenor. Maybe have worked in an energy-related field, or in a leadership position in a major-league sport. Maybe have been around others in a similar capacity, like have brothers who are Govenors, or a former-President as a father. Yep, you can't go wrong with experience. Why, a person like that would surely go down in history as one of our greatest Presidents.

On second thought, maybe it's time to try something else.

For the last 2 elections I bought the Republicans' scare tactics. We couldn't elect Gore because his environmental-wackiness was going to raise the price of oil. Now gas is $4/gallon anyway, and polar bears are swimming for their lives.

Couldn't elect Kerry because we're in a war! Democrats don't know how to run a war... GW's solution? A "surge". Overwhelm the enemy with more troops? Yep, nobody but a Republican could have figured that out. And what would his tax and spend policies do to the economy? Last I looked, GW's economy wasn't anything to brag about. Don't forget that Kerry exagerrated his war record. A Republican would never lie, not about something as important as war.

Fool me twice... won't get fooled again. I won't be scared a 3rd time.

I really like Biden, but don't think he could have had a shot at winning. Americans want soundbyte policy and he's definitely not good at sticking to a 10-second synopsis of his positions.

(I can argue whether Americans SHOULD want a president who can sum up his or her solution to a complicated matter in a soundbyte, but they do...)
