I believe they're referring to an on-street advisory system to warn of hazardous traffic conditions.

$11,000 - that is some high tech system.

Not really all that expensive... if you think the cost is too high, blame the sign providers who rape and pillage the govt. They spend $10k on a sign board and charge $2k/month for its use, and get a solid 10 years out of it...

Isn't it interesting that the two most useless legislators we have are the ones that got the most money, payhike Mike and Giblet. Ya know, it is a real slap in the face of the taxpayers to think we are so stupid at too not see what this money is for. They might as well call the money the legislators reelection money. Pay hike pumped all that money into the southeast side of the city and then has his people go out and pick them up and take them to the voting booth. During the drive, the driver telling them to remember that old pay hike got them all that money.
Saw on pay hike on Monday at Crossgatesgolf course. He was having another one of his golf outings. Old pay hike had a pair of pants on like the gang bangers wear, baggy and came about half way between his ankle and knee. As I played the different holes before his tournament started, I looked at the hole sponsors. All big money corporations were on the signs. Wonder who gets the money, pay hike will make off that outing. All the people keep voting him in. What a joke he is.

MS's two gifts to the Spanish community are obscene. See how many of the other legislators initiatives add up to $500,000. Those two are more important than all those others, combined? Past coddling to enabling.

He must be a closet republican.

Just once I'd like to see a picture of his face when he's getting bad news. That smirk...
Listen up big spenders, your days are numbered.
Like how the paper implied that some did nothing in this regard? "Some gave nothing". It's not their money to give, hello. I appreciate a certain amount of stingyness when they have their hands on the community pursestrings.

Special interest spending will attract even more ire as the pool of resources dwindles. No matter the face the compliant press puts on it. Their credibility is at an all time low, for starters.
