If you are in a hurry, and just want to grab a few things -- go somewhere else! Holy Batman! I stopped in over my lunch hour and the place was crazy! Lots of carts bumping into other carts... there might be a fight breaking out as we speak over the BOGO on Asparagus.

Nice store, but $6.49/pound for the salad bar seems a bit high to me?!?

It may be a bit steep but if you lay off of the heavy stuff like the broc and cauliflower and just add that at home you can get a great salad for about $5.00 which is much cheaper than buying all the inredients, trust me.

How do you figure that? You pay 5 bucks for one salad but if you buy all the ingredients you can make a lot more than one!

Oh I know... I'm a salar bar expert :-) I walked out with a little one for like $2.50... just saw the price of it and thought - WOW! I work not too far and was excited for the new place to grab lunch. With all the talk of the new chef and the bistro I thought they might have a nice salad bar to go with... Have to say, still probably going to hit Giant/Weis for my lunch time salads...

Stopped by today. Certainly the nicest store in Lancaster but a long way from a "Wegmans like" experience. The cafe featured in this "article" is so underwhelming that I would be embarrassed to be that chef. I was also not impressed by either the hot food or salad bars. Grocery selection was strong for this area but parts of this new store are "cramped". As I do not live on that side of town, I will be visiting very sparingly and I am still miffed they closed Leola.

Yes I agree, they should have left Leola open - the building is still just sitting there - I always drive past and say 'you know what would go good in there? An SKH!' Guess is isnt coming back though - Lord knows why they kept the Oregon Pike store lol

Can't wait for my pal Rick Millers place (the Back Page - 2nd edition) to open right down the street form the old Leola SKH! (on another note)
