Of course she denies it. If she's in love with him, wants to protect him and/or even still is holding on to some fantasy of being with him happily ever after, and she has betrayed the people with whom she has the most sacred trust that a person can have (spouse and children), is it really a stretch to think that she might have perjured herself just a little bit by "not remembering" an extremely incriminating part of their conversation?
