The people who own it also own the motel next door. I guess it probably looks OK to them, but I know what you mean about its looking out of place. I like to look at all the cute and potentially cute houses on 340--when I am not driving, that is.

I stay at this hotel on my trips to Lancaster County. I don't think I'll be patronizing this restaurant though. If I want diner food I'll go to Jennie's and I usually want to eat PA Dutch food anyway when I make a trip to LC. I'm afraid this place will see some hard times.

My favorites are the turkey melt on sourdough and the "Doowop Burger", both served with homemade chips, but breakfast and the hand dipped milkshakes are great too. Business seems to be booming since DJ's has opened in January. Maybe, especially with this economy, folks enjoy a trip back in time. The atmosphere is very inviting, complete with 50's music and the staff in 50's costumes.

Can someone give me a landmark near here? I'm having trouble placing it. Say, in relation to Smoketown Elem? Thanks!

Right next door to be exact. To the west towards the Witmer Rd intersection.
