I see this "urban mall" run down and full of trash and graffitti six months after it's completed. Just look how terrible that strip is (the one with Family Dollar and that laundromat), which is across the street to the land the mall will be built upon.

Tell me, do you use that skill more for helping those who can't speak English to get by, or to teach those same people how to speak English?
All that dough for SACA, still no word of a Spanish/English dictionary drive. Every one of these library book sales offers a few copies. If I buy them and donate them, would they even be implemented?

The nearest Spanish speaking country is a thousand miles away. Not like the majority of these folks walked here across a nearby border. Tell me by what right you demand Spanish be learned by the offspring of those who came from lands with other languages, and gave them up? Let's just say it's a good thing I'm not King. That would cease immediately. I bet if the choices offered the Spanish were the same as the jobs offered some early Lancaster immigrants, they would learn English in a hurry to escape them. I'm proud of my German ancestory, but don't speak German.
