"This skool will pay on the first Thursday in October," someone wrote
certainly not one of the sharpest crayons in the box.
Maybe I don't think like a "bad guy", but why would one give the date of an attack?

I agree on that. Why?!? If I wanted to cause the most death and destruction, I aint letting anybody know of my plans until they are in my crosshairs.

The one idea given was pretty good though (trying to get out of something), and the only other thing I could think of was that the kid did it for s***s and giggles.

This is really nothing new. Remember when kids used to call in a bomb threat from a payphone. Just a different spin on things.

I'm guessing that the date is important in some way. I bet there is no real threat against the school but something was supposed to happen today in the writer's life; a test he didn't want to take, a fight with someone he was afraid of etc. I think it was his way of dealing with something he was worried about.

October 2 is the Nickle Mines anniversary.

I still say a little smack on the heiny (note - not a whoopin') on a toddler works better than the "time out" corner. I'm guessing the genius who wrote the note at "skool" probably could have used a smack on the bottom when he was a youngin', or maybe he's just an excitable boy.

Or maybe he had one too many "smacks on the bottom."
