My daughter, age 19, wants to go on birth-control pills to regulate her periods. She's living in a dorm, and it seems most of the girls in her dorm are using the pill to do just that.

Wow, how gullible is this woman?

Why is a 19-year old asking for bc pills in the first place? She's legally an adult, go make the appointment and get them.

Very true but usually they are still on their parents insurance so they would need the insurance card. Also I can tell you from experience, girls that age are still shy about calling the doctor, especially for gyn visits.

and never mind that girls in dorms tend to all get on the same cycle somehow anyway, i know when i lived in the dorms we all seemed to adjust after a few months to the same cycle... talk about a bad week... 50 young women all with pms at the same time, lol
