"Home Rule Splits local GOP...."

A typical smear title from the pro-home rule Sunday News.

Let's see, a nearly unanimous county committee numbering in the hundreds representing all corners of the county oppose home rule.

Perenniel negative campaigner Heidi Wheaton and Washington insider and power-lobbyist Bob Walker support home rule.

Not a very even 'split' - more like a 'splinter' but that's what the media wants you to think.

If you think that this is bad, you should read back when the CC was going down.

Home Rule will not happen. Information is being given to every person who walks into GOP HQ for Palin Event tickets. I have yet to hear one person speak favorably about it.

Home Rule is Change We CAN'T Believe In.....

There is no compelling reason, especially in light of all of the uncertainty in the world, to make this radical change. Our government works - and people are happy!

You fix government by electing good people - not by abolishing the structure.

There is no split in the GOP - the split is with the Dems. How they can support a charter which gives them LESS power is beyond me. Going from a commissioner balance of 2-1 to 4-1 kind of makes you wonder why the people who wrote this even bothered giving them a seat?

Home Rule - a big mistake
