Or the Koran, like Saudi Arabia where the church police let those girls burn to death in their flaming school building. Where the punishment for rape is stoning to death ... for the victim.

That's taken completely out of the context of the subject at hand. Our focus is same sex marriages, not a Police State in the Middle East. Stay on topic or don't post at all.

This whole gay "marriage" thing seems so silly. They already have a civil recognized "marriage" in California, with all (or nearly all) the rights of religiously recognized marriage. Why on earth would people who reject God's word want a marriage recognized by God? That video post is ridiculous because denying a religiously recognized marriage does not deny gays love. It does not deny them the opportunity to live their lives committed to one person. It does not force them to marry the opposite sex, as that video indicates!
It seems to me gays are only angry because they want to be like everybody else. Well, I've got news for them: loving same sex is NOT like the majority on earth!! Get over it. We're all different in many ways.
And no, I'm not against gays. The Bible says "all sin is equal in the eyes of God", so someone else's gay practices, someone else's murder, etc. is no more or less sin than my own white lies. That's the most important reason Christians should not judge others.

Funny you keep using the words I Am to describe God.

However when Moses asked God who he should say sent him, God answered Heyah which means "existed" or "was" in Hebrew. It is generally interpreted to mean I am that I am, though it more literally translates as "I-shall-be that I-shall-be." That concept is taught that God is self existant (he does not need anyone else) and he is an active existance (he is within each and everyone) and that he is of an eternal nature. That 4th century translation you claim is in error is the one that inteprets that word as "I am" which you take literally yet you claim you should not take other parts of the Bible literally.

a wiser man that me said " as you believe, o shall it be done unto to you."
the council of nicea missed some of the hidden messages, or they would have edited them out as well.
i didn't say the translation was error, it was the interpretation that was an error, an error done purposefully to consolidate power over mankind by combining the church and the state as one ruling entity that taught man has no power in and of himself but must rely on the church and priesthood as mediators for their own salvation. for a price of course.
this contradicts the teachings of jesus which is why his simple message, and the message of the ot, which can be explained in a few pages, has to have virtual libraries to explain away the inconsistencies and contradictions, known as church dogma, or aka "doctrines of men".
i am the truth
i am the open door
i am the vine
unless you believe i am, you shall die in your sins
i am is the name of god
and we are made in his image and likeness.
not made sinners condemned for the mistakes of two people eons ago.

yet in john19: 11 jesus said "...he that delived me unto thee hath the greater sin."
clearly some sins are greater than others.

" woe unto you scibes and pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves; neither ye suffer them that are entering to enter." matt 23:13

this is true today of the pastors who don't understand that the kingdom is within and so they don't allow their flock to enter in.
when this truth that makes men free is understood, they will stop their crusades against gays.

leviticus 20 also says that he who curses his father or mother or commits adultery should be put to death. shall we make new laws regarding that as well?
the whole christian thingy about god punishing mankind forever because of the "mistakes" of adam and eve is ludicrous.
your god is going to punish me for the sins of the first man and if i don't jump through rube goldberg hoops he will punish me forever?
no way. it is a god based on error.

if you choose to worship a silly god based on the doctrines of men who made up this crap to seize power, then that is your right.
but it is my right to be forever free of your religious views and that means you cannot oppose your silly version of god on the rest of us.
there is god, but you people have assigned him the petty values of mankind. you made god in your image.
that is inversion of truth.

You wrote:

But then......it is also written where we now have Christ to forgive us of our sins and to repent (to change course) instead of dying the death. And of course the same applies to the forgiveness of the sin of homosexuality and becoming saved as well.
