My point is that I will not be scared as long as I'm doing what it takes to be safe. I wouldn't walk ANYWHERE at night alone with my son because young girl alone with kid is a target - whether on S. Anne St. or on Suburban Hill Rd. in the boondocks. You keep alert, use your head and don't be involved in illegal activity. Under those circumstances, your chances of being the victim of a crime go WAY down. Someone who says he is so scared to walk in Penn Square doesn't exactly exude confidence. I'll never be the type to live my life because something bad may happen. I'll choose to make wise decisions and greatly decrease my chances of being a victim.
